Senior Audit Associate (Accounting/Audit)

Location: Alexandria, Virginia, United States. Work location may change based on client requirements, with up to 25% travel.

Salary: $60,000–$100,000 per year, plus potential bonuses, overtime pay, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain productive relationships with client personnel and understand business operations, processes, and functions.
• Apply accounting and auditing concepts to client situations and bridge logistics procedures with financial accounting processes.
• Review and evaluate internal controls and supporting documentation.
• Identify accounting, auditing, compliance, and control matters and communicate them to Managers and Principals.
• Develop solutions to mitigate deficiencies in internal control activities and documentation.
• Supervise and review work performed by other staff while balancing multiple projects.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least 2 years of accounting and/or auditing experience.
• Strong verbal, written, presentation, teamwork, and client communication skills.
• Active Interim Secret Clearance or higher, such as Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI.
• U.S. citizenship is required for the clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Federal Government and/or Department of War clients.
• CPA certification or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam.
