TL;DR
Solutions Architect – Data Analytics (Databricks/Azure): Defining and guiding enterprise data architecture on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, with an accent on scalable cloud solutions, automation, security, and analytics enablement. Focus on designing Azure data platforms, integrating enterprise systems, optimizing cloud capacity, and guiding engineers across architecture and delivery.
Location: Hybrid role based at the headquarters in Newport News, Virginia, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
Salary: $5,444.76–$9,537.00 per month; bonus or incentive plan eligible.

What you will do
- Define and lead enterprise solution architecture centered on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions for analytics, AI, machine learning, and operational reporting.
- Translate business requirements into automated solutions across products, systems, applications, and data sources.
- Lead architecture reviews, integration planning, documentation, standards, and governance.
- Monitor data ecosystem health, identify failure patterns, and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers while evaluating emerging data technologies.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in enterprise IT operations, systems engineering, or infrastructure architecture.
- Experience designing enterprise-scale solutions across multiple applications, data sources, and technology platforms.
- Expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code tools including Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet, or Chef.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong Azure experience, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage/ADLS, networking, identity and access management, and Key Vault.
- Experience with Databricks or a comparable cloud data platform, enterprise BI and analytics architecture, infrastructure, networking, security, DevOps, and agile delivery.
Nice to have
- Microsoft Fabric and Power BI experience.
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
