What you will do

• Guide clients and delivery teams toward effective Google Cloud architecture patterns.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, cost-effective database solutions.
• Design migration paths covering database objects, data, pipelines, orchestration, users, and security.
• Translate DDL, stored procedures, and queries and execute data transfers with Google Cloud and third-party tools.
• Configure Google Cloud components and perform database migration activities.
• Deliver education workshops, architectural recommendations, and technology reviews for customer teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of database management and IT experience.
• At least 2 years of Google Cloud experience.
• Proven experience migrating or implementing cloud-native databases such as Spanner.
• Experience migrating MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases to Cloud SQL.
• Experience defining Google Cloud technical architecture and designing Spanner data models.
• Advanced SQL skills, including writing, tuning, and interpreting queries, plus experience with performance testing and remediation.

Nice to have

• Experience with CockroachDB.
• Google Cloud Professional Architect or Data Engineer certification.
