Cybersecurity Test Manager (Automotive)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid work with office presence required in Bucharest, typically three days onsite per week

Salary: RON 282,000–413,600 gross annually, with potential variable compensation and allowances

What you will do

• Manage assigned cybersecurity test engineers in Bucharest, including performance, career development, and resource planning.
• Own cybersecurity test strategy and execution for Telematics Control Unit validation across Connectivity Test Center domains.
• Plan and coordinate requirement-based testing, TARA-derived security controls, test coverage, roadmaps, laboratories, test benches, HIL systems, and vehicle validation capacity.
• Monitor milestones, release cycles, KPIs, defect detection efficiency, test stability, and execution cycle time.
• Drive AI-assisted testing, test data management, analytics, and regression-cycle optimization.
• Collaborate with development, systems engineering, validation, suppliers, external partners, and global stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing security test teams, including line management.
• Strong expertise in security testing methodologies, embedded systems, automotive testing, telematics control units, and connected vehicle systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet, MQTT, cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth technologies.
• Experience with end-to-end validation across vehicles, backends, and mobile systems, plus defect analysis and root-cause identification.
• Business-fluent English and willingness to work from the Bucharest office and travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.

Nice to have

• Experience with Secure Boot, HSM, spoofing, fuzzing, jamming, kernel security, sandboxing, cryptography, key management, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with CANoe, CANalyzer, JIRA, and ALM.
• Experience scaling cybersecurity test strategies, standardizing frameworks, and managing complex delivery situations.
