Fullstack Developer with Java & React (AI)

Location: Remote, candidates must already be based in Portugal and hold Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain robust backend applications and full-stack solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build user-facing applications with React and Next.js.
• Design and optimize MySQL data models and queries for performance and reliability across retail-scale workloads.
• Implement and maintain event-driven architecture with Kafka within distributed systems.
• Work with AWS and AI-related solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design, development, and deployment teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Fullstack Developer with Java and React.
• Proficiency in newer versions of Java and Spring Boot.
• Ability to design and optimize MySQL data models and queries for performance and reliability across retail-scale workloads.
• Practical knowledge of Kafka for event-driven architecture within distributed systems.
• Demonstrated experience with AWS and Next.js.
• Experience with AI.
• Strong collaboration skills across design, development, and deployment.
• Fluency in English at B2/C1 level.
• Already based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.
