Chief Compliance Officer (CCO)

Salary: From €7,000 gross per month, depending on experience and expertise

hirify.global works with a Latvia-based regulated financial services company operating in the European payments ecosystem.

What you will do

• Lead the AML/CTF/PF, sanctions, and regulatory compliance framework.
• Supervise the Compliance and MLRO functions and ensure their independence and effectiveness.
• Oversee AML policies, risk assessments, customer-risk methodology, and the annual compliance plan.
• Act as a senior contact for the Bank of Latvia, FIU Latvia, and other regulatory authorities.
• Provide compliance, AML, and regulatory-risk reporting to the Management Board.
• Lead responses to high-risk approvals, material compliance incidents, sanctions issues, and regulatory breaches.

Requirements

• Senior experience in Compliance, AML, or Financial Crime within a regulated financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CTF, sanctions, financial-services regulation, compliance governance, and regulatory reporting.
• Good understanding of Latvian and EU regulatory requirements, including PSD2, EMD2, NILLTPFN Law, DORA, and GDPR.
• Experience interacting with regulators and competent authorities.
• Experience at senior-management or Board level.
• Professional English required; Russian and Latvian are advantageous.
