TL;DR
Cloud Engineer (AWS/Azure): Designing, securing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure with an accent on secure networking, Infrastructure-as-Code, monitoring, and hybrid cloud connectivity. Focus on building reliable deployment infrastructure, managing VPN and firewall solutions, supporting cloud migrations, and resolving complex cloud security and networking issues.
Location: Sydney, Australia
Salary: AUD 150,000–200,000 per annum

What you will do
- Design, deploy, secure, and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
- Build secure cloud networking solutions covering VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing, DNS, and network connectivity.
- Configure Palo Alto firewalls, security groups, network security groups, VPNs, AWS Direct Connect, and Azure ExpressRoute.
- Maintain and improve Infrastructure-as-Code using AWS CDK and TypeScript.
- Monitor cloud performance, availability, reliability, and security using cloud-native and third-party tools.
- Support cloud migrations, hybrid cloud architectures, CI/CD infrastructure, vulnerability remediation, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Strong cloud engineering capabilities across AWS and Azure.
- Experience with cloud networking, firewalls, VPN connectivity, and security controls.
- Experience maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code with AWS CDK and TypeScript.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
