Senior Finance Systems & Data Engineer

What you will do

• Design and own the financial data architecture from core banking platforms through the ledger and data warehouse into Business Central.
• Lead automation of the month-end close, beginning with reconciliations between source systems and the general ledger.
• Query, reconcile, and investigate finance data issues, driving root-cause resolution.
• Own and administer Business Central and other finance systems, including configuration, access, releases, and incidents.
• Define finance data-quality standards and translate finance requirements into deliverables for data squads.
• Collaborate across finance, product, and technology to rethink core processes with AI.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in architecture, engineering, or finance systems roles, with end-to-end ownership of complex work.
• Strong hands-on SQL and Python skills for extracting, transforming, and modelling data.
• Experience integrating systems through APIs and MCP.
• Practical experience with month-end close processes, including cut-off, reconciliations, and audit trails.
• Experience owning or administering an ERP or other finance system.
• Experience building with LLMs or agent tooling such as MCP, or a clear willingness to learn.

Nice to have

• Experience with core banking systems and Business Central.
• Ability to communicate confidently with senior stakeholders and technical peers.
