Senior Sheet Metal Worker (HVAC)

Salary: $23.80–$43 per hour

What you will do

• Perform demolition and construction work on commercial and industrial ductwork.
• Install HVAC equipment and fabricate ductwork, hangers, strainers, and custom components.
• Interpret mechanical diagrams, construction blueprints, drawings, and sketches for layout and installation work.
• Fabricate and modify components using sheet metal shears, press brakes, hand brakes, lock formers, saws, and plasma cutters.
• Join metals using spot welders and work with steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, magnesium, copper, monel, hastelloy, tantalum, Plexiglass, and Lexan.
• Follow corporate, divisional, and task-specific safety requirements.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved apprentice program or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of diverse commercial and industrial sheet metal experience.
• Ability to interpret mechanical diagrams and construction blueprints.
• Ability to complete installations and modifications.
