Assistant Manager - Optical

Location: Williamsburg, Virginia, United States; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Monitor profit, sales, performance goals, and store financial reports.
• Oversee eyeglass department operations, efficiency, quality standards, and policy compliance.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure associates provide a positive customer experience.
• Supervise, coach, and motivate Opticians, contact-lens sales associates, and reception staff where applicable.
• Coordinate promotions, advertising, visual merchandising, store reporting, and communication with management.
• Support staffing forecasts, recruiting, selection, and retention of store employees.

Requirements

• Optical sales experience.
• Ability to lead, coach, and build effective associate relationships.
• Understanding of store operations and performance standards.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Customer service, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.

Nice to have

• Supervisory experience.
• Licenses or credentials required by applicable state laws.
