Focus on designing scalable Kubernetes environments, automating infrastructure and deployments with Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps, and optimizing event streaming, databases, security, and observability.

What you will do
- Design, implement, and operate scalable, highly available Kubernetes infrastructure for geographically distributed, event-driven systems.
- Build cloud-agnostic Kubernetes environments for high-throughput real-time event processing and implement automated scaling strategies.
- Optimize event streaming infrastructure and manage PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis deployments within Kubernetes.
- Implement GitOps workflows and automate deployments, rollbacks, and infrastructure updates using Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Support monitoring, logging, observability, security, networking, traffic management, and production troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with Go-based backend engineers and system architects on scalability, security, and infrastructure performance.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience designing and implementing Kubernetes infrastructure for large-scale, event-driven systems.
- Strong Kubernetes orchestration skills, including networking, security, and scaling.
- Experience operating Kubernetes workloads in AWS and using Terraform or OpenTofu for infrastructure as code.
- Hands-on experience with GitOps tools such as Flux or ArgoCD and automated CI/CD deployments.
- Strong Linux administration, networking, troubleshooting, and Helm skills.
- Experience with Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, or similar event streaming and messaging technologies; familiarity with service mesh technologies is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, advanced Kubernetes security, network segmentation, or traffic management tools.
- Experience with multi-region deployments.
