Junior Site/Civil Engineer

Location: Pittsburgh, PA, United States. The role is primarily office-based, with remote work available when needed.

What you will do

• Assist with planning, design, and execution of civil engineering scopes for site development projects.
• Work on earthworks, grading, roadworks, underground utilities, drainage, and stormwater management.
• Prepare site layouts, surface models, engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Participate in site investigations, surveys, data collection, permit applications, and regulatory documentation.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and bills of materials while tracking project documentation, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate with structural, geotechnical, environmental, and other engineering disciplines and support Senior Engineers and Designers.

Requirements

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate with little or no professional experience and relevant skills.
• Preferred bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Understanding of road, earthworks, water management, and drainage design concepts.
• Familiarity with 2D drafting and 3D modeling; training will be provided in Bentley applications.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and collaboration skills.
• Employment visas are not sponsored, and STEM OPT participation is not available for this position.
