Senior Network Automation Engineer for Industrial AI Cloud

Location: Kosice, Slovakia. Remote working is available only within Slovakia due to European taxation regulation.

Salary: negotiable; base salary from €2,600 gross per month, plus variable pay and other financial benefits.

What you will do

• Build, provision, operate, and automate network platforms for switches, firewalls, routers, and border gateways in an industrial AI cloud.
• Manage InfiniBand and Ethernet/RoCE high-speed network fabrics, including installations, upgrades, firmware updates, interconnections, and documentation.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts, configuration management, release workflows, testing, deployment, and infrastructure standardization.
• Implement monitoring and observability, maintain network operating systems, apply patches, and manage firmware upgrades at scale.
• Follow and improve ITIL incident, problem, and change management processes, including runbooks and zero-outage practices.
• Coordinate with data center, IaaS, PaaS, platform, and AI solution teams; provide customer-facing consultancy and mentor colleagues.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience with network installation, maintenance, operations, and data-center routing.
• Advanced Linux networking and troubleshooting on Cumulus, Ubuntu, or Debian, including bridges, bonds, VLANs, and routing tables.
• Experience with NVIDIA/Mellanox switches, UFM, InfiniBand, RoCE, BGP, OSPF, ASNs, IP transit, peering, and failover connectivity.
• Experience with FortiGate firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, IDS/IPS, HA, security segmentation, DDoS mitigation, and zero-trust networking.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Bash and automation tools such as Ansible, SaltStack, Terraform, and Helm; familiarity with Git-based automation and CI/CD.
• English at B2 level is required. German is an advantage; familiarity with NOC/SOC operations and on-call rotations is expected.

Nice to have

• NVIDIA-specific networking knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of AI/HPC networking.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and software-defined networking.
