TL;DR
Software Dev Engineer (DevOps), Amazon Prime Air (AWS/cloud infrastructure): Building scalable backend systems, data pipelines, and deployment infrastructure for drone delivery operations with an accent on reliability, automation, and distributed computing. Focus on designing AWS data services, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, operational excellence, and resilient microservices.
Location: Graz, Austria; onsite
Salary: €2,785.71 gross per month, including 13th–14th monthly salary

What you will do
- Own backend production systems, databases, automated data pipelines, and processing services for Prime Air drone delivery operations.
- Design and maintain software build, test, and deployment pipelines using CI/CD practices.
- Architect and operate AWS data infrastructure for large volumes of operational drone data.
- Implement infrastructure as code with CDK and CloudFormation across multiple environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system reliability, performance, security, capacity, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Science teams, participate in code reviews, technical discussions, documentation, and on-call operations.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or graduated from a Bachelor's or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
- Expected graduation between October 2025 and September 2026, or graduation within the last 24 months.
- Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, databases, or AWS services.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies and understand basic software development lifecycle principles.
Nice to have
- Technical internship or relevant project experience.
- Experience with AWS services including Aurora Serverless PostgreSQL, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, SQS, EventBridge, RDS Proxy, and CloudWatch.
- DevOps experience and experience processing large volumes of operational data.
