IT Systems Engineer (Networking)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States; onsite work from the Mountain View headquarters

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 USD annually, plus equity, bonuses, and benefits.

What you will do

• Serve as the technical escalation point for global end users and executives, providing onsite and remote support.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across Mac, Windows, Ubuntu Linux, mobile devices, printers, and video conferencing systems.
• Automate IT and infrastructure processes and collaborate on infrastructure-as-code projects.
• Deploy, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, WiFi, and cloud network infrastructure.
• Design, test, document, and optimize network architecture, policies, performance, and security.
• Coordinate issue resolution with operations, engineering, and domain specialists, including quality assurance and user acceptance testing.

Requirements

• Experience with IT infrastructure automation, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code environments.
• Experience using Git for collaboration and managing technical projects in a deadline-driven environment.
• Understanding of SSO concepts including SAML and OIDC, as well as MFA support.
• Proficiency with network diagnostic tools such as Wireshark and Nmap.
• Understanding of network security design and implementation, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Experience with LAN/WAN design, network media, packet shapers, and WAN accelerators; Juniper Networks experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Experience with Rancher, Kubernetes, AWS, MinIO, or Okta.
