Senior Security Engineer (eDiscovery & Insider Risk)

Location: Remote. Access to export-controlled information requires U.S.-person status or eligibility for access without authorization, or eligibility and reasonable likelihood of obtaining the required U.S. authorization.

Salary: $165,000–$220,000 base salary per year, plus potential discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage enterprise eDiscovery, including data collection, processing, review, legal holds, and compliance with privacy and retention requirements.
• Lead forensic analysis and digital evidence collection for Insider Risk investigations and Legal activities.
• Architect AI-powered automation for aggregating, preserving, normalizing, and indexing data at cloud-native scale.
• Analyze cloud audit logs and combine endpoint, identity, and repository activity into accurate investigation timelines.
• Select, implement, and maintain eDiscovery platforms, digital forensics software, and supporting tools.
• Prepare structured evidence packages and reports for Security, Legal, Human Resources, and investigators.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Security Operations and 4+ years of eDiscovery experience.
• Strong knowledge of eDiscovery principles, EDRM, and legal hold administration.
• Deep experience querying cloud audit logs, managing enterprise eDiscovery and forensic platforms, and working with SIEM infrastructure.
• Experience with data collection, evidence preservation, chain-of-custody protocols, and large-scale unstructured data extraction and indexing.
• Proficiency in at least one query language, such as SQL or ES/QL, and scripting with Python or Go for automation and API integrations.
• Knowledge of data classification, GDPR and CCPA requirements, and privacy-sensitive investigative practices.
