Manufacturing Engineer

Location: On-site five days per week at the Arecibo Plant, Puerto Rico

Salary: $62,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, processes, layouts, workflows, and equipment utilization.
• Lead or participate in Process Mapping, FMEA, and problem-solving initiatives to improve quality, production, cost, delivery, and waste elimination.
• Implement Lean, 5S, ISO, ergonomics, Operational Excellence, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Plan and coordinate new technology transfers, new product introductions, tooling, and manufacturing projects.
• Supervise Manufacturing Technicians and Utilities Personnel, including performance evaluation, attendance documentation, staffing, and training.
• Coordinate capital-plan projects, vendor activities, equipment purchases, production estimates, and implementation schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Ability to interpret technical procedures and apply problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills required.
• Knowledge of ISO, Lean, and DFT theory and implementation; computer proficiency with MS Office and project-planning tools.
• Teamwork, interpersonal, presentation, communication, and conflict-management skills.
