Quality Review Specialist (Commercial Lending)

What you will do

• Review quality assurance workflow queues for business credit deals before closing and after closing.
• Analyze adherence to underwriting, due diligence, SBA, loan closing, policy, procedure, and process requirements.
• Apply standardized quality review taxonomies, document findings, and rate variances by severity.
• Research exceptions with segment leaders and record review details in the centralized process system.
• Produce segment quality review reporting and monitor quality, production, SLA, and risk-control metrics.
• Identify training opportunities and risk gaps, and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent banking industry experience in credit or lending.
• 5+ years of banking industry experience, preferably in business or commercial credit or quality assurance.
• Strong analytical, verbal, written communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work as a self-starter and manage daily priorities.
• Proficiency with PC and internet tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in the Columbus, OH office.

Nice to have

• Subject matter expertise in commercial lending, including underwriting, loan documentation, loan closing, loan funding, and SBA eligibility.
• Experience with SBA or other government-guaranteed loan programs.
• Experience designing quality review or control processes and preparing regulatory reports.
• Strong leadership skills.
