Supervisor, Liquefied Natural Gas Plant (LNG)

Location: MA-Ludlow, United States; travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire may be required. Emergency restoration assignments may require work outside normal responsibilities, hours, and location.

Salary: $121,030–$134,480 annually, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Supervise LNG/LPG facility operations, maintenance, and overall plant activities.
• Oversee control room operations and response to pressure, temperature, flow, alarm, and emergency situations.
• Ensure personnel training and operator qualification for LNG/LPG functions.
• Manage capital, operations, and maintenance budgets, purchasing, invoices, time reports, vehicles, and maintenance scheduling.
• Coordinate plant operations and inventory requirements with Gas Control, including vaporization and liquefaction activities.
• Maintain working relationships with public safety officials, local authorities, and Eversource Gas Operations while supporting regulatory inspections.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in applied science or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of related experience; supervisory experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, cryogenics, compressors, motors, pumps, refrigerant systems, valves, electronic instrumentation, maintenance scheduling, and operator qualification processes.
• Knowledge of NFPA 59, NFPA 59A, and 49 CFR Parts 193 and 192.
• Ability to analyze situations, make sound decisions under stress, operate computer systems, and communicate technical matters to public organizations.
• Must obtain and maintain required Operator Qualifications and pass the required LNG physical within 30 days of hire.
