What you will do

• Present news stories and other content clearly and engagingly across television, internet, mobile, and social media platforms.
• Enterprise and develop daily stories in collaboration with newsroom management.
• Deliver dynamic live shots and stand-ups using creative graphics and digital tools.
• Organize material, determine story angles, and write content according to editorial standards.
• Gather and verify information through interviews, observation, and research while building a reliable network of sources.
• Complete special projects and other assigned newsroom duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, or a related field; equivalent experience may substitute for education.
• At least three years of television anchoring or reporting experience.
• Strong vocal delivery, camera presence, clear enunciation, and reporting skills.
• Excellent reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and organizational skills.
• Understanding of the importance of social media and ability to operate newsroom computer systems.
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with station personnel.
