Software Tester (Manual QA)

Location: Remote, South Africa

Salary: ZAR 280,000–450,000 annually

What you will do

• Test web applications against requirements across desktop browsers and mobile devices.
• Record, monitor, and manage defects, maintaining traceability through resolution.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, scenarios, manual scripts, and defect reports.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders and participate in defect triage.
• Track testing progress against release schedules and provide manual testing estimates.
• Review test environments, coverage, and QA processes to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in manual QA and web application testing.
• Experience with cross-browser functional testing and bug tracking and reporting tools.
• Ability to create comprehensive manual test documentation and write BDD-style acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal, organisational, analytical, and deadline-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working in an Agile team.
• Experience testing on both PC and Mac.
• ISEB or ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.
• Degree-level educational qualification.
