Cybersecurity Consultant

Location: Brussels, Belgium. Work can be performed from home, at the client, or from the Brussels office. Temporary assignments abroad may include France and the Netherlands.

What you will do

• Deliver cybersecurity consulting, implementation, and audit assignments across strategy, risk, compliance, operations, and resilience.
• Work on areas including cyber risk management, security architecture, cloud security, infrastructure and endpoint protection, data protection, and cryptography.
• Support cyber resilience activities such as threat hunting, digital forensics, incident response, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and crisis management.
• Contribute to the CyberLab by developing SaaS cybersecurity offers and solutions around advanced technologies and AI.
• Conduct cybersecurity benchmarks and proofs of concept while monitoring cybersecurity developments.
• Contribute to publications and represent cybersecurity expertise at professional clubs, fairs, and events.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, statistics, or econometrics.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in a consulting firm and cybersecurity projects.
• Strong interest in data and AI topics, with the ability to develop expertise quickly.
• Knowledge of one or more of Python, C++, Java, Ruby, Node, Go, or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of IP networks, operating systems, cloud platforms, applications, and cryptography.
• French, Dutch, and English language skills required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of blockchain.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Unix/Linux, Windows, or macOS; web servers, databases, and middleware.
