Contract Data Scientist (Commercial Analytics)

Location: Manchester, England, United Kingdom; Workplace: Hybrid. Ideally based in Manchester and comfortable working central US time zones.

What you will do

• Translate commercial questions into measurable analytics use cases and data science models.
• Build and deploy segmentation, churn, pricing, marketing mix modelling, and forecasting models.
• Use Python or R with Azure and Microsoft Fabric to develop analytical solutions.
• Productionise data pipelines and operationalise models for business use.
• Present insights through Power BI and Salesforce CRM Analytics.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other commercial stakeholders to drive adoption and impact.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of applied data science experience in commercial analytics.
• Strong Python or R, SQL, and Azure/Microsoft Fabric experience.
• Advanced Power BI skills and experience operationalising models.
• Experience with machine learning.
• Ability to communicate analytical insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Availability for hybrid work in Manchester and comfort working central US time zones.

Nice to have

• Experience with price elasticity modelling.
