Hardware/Software Assurance Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Getafe area, Madrid, Spain; hybrid work is available when possible.

What you will do

• Define and negotiate certification agreements, certification bases, certification review items, and authority involvement levels.
• Audit and monitor suppliers against RTCA/DO-254 and RTCA/DO-178 requirements, including traceability, validation, verification, requirements-based engineering, SEU control, and equipment robustness.
• Conduct internal pre-certification audits to identify and resolve deficiencies before official milestones.
• Define and control hardware and software documentation packages required at each development phase.
• Track and report compliance with safety, criticality, and program schedule requirements.
• Coordinate with equipment design, quality, certification, qualification, safety, and design office teams.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in aeronautics, electronics, telecommunications, systems engineering, or a related field.
• Professional experience in hardware and software design assurance for aircraft equipment.
• Experience with complex electronic hardware, including ASICs, PLDs, and complex COTS components.
• Strong knowledge of RTCA/DO-254 and RTCA/DO-178 or equivalent civil or military standards.
• Advanced English proficiency required.
