What you will do
- Develop and validate AI/ML methods for drug discovery and therapeutic design.
- Design foundation models, deep generative models, and representation learning approaches for biological sequences and related modalities.
- Build lab-in-the-loop workflows connecting AI-guided design with wet-lab experimentation and biological validation.
- Analyze large-scale biological datasets to generate scientific insights, hypotheses, and predictive or optimization frameworks.
- Collaborate with computational biology, machine learning, and experimental science teams.
- Document code, communicate technical findings, and publish research in leading conferences and peer-reviewed journals.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, completed within the last three years or expected within six months.
- Strong expertise in AI/ML, including areas such as sequence modeling, geometric deep learning, deep generative models, or foundation models.
- Experience with deep-learning architectures such as transformers and graph neural networks.
- Strong publication record in leading AI/ML conferences or peer-reviewed journals.
- Proficiency in Python or another programming language and experience with AI frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Strong communication skills for presenting analytical results in multidisciplinary settings.
Nice to have
- Experience developing foundation or generative models for biological sequences, including representation learning, property prediction, or optimization.
