What you will do

• Provide hands-on technical leadership within the foundation model team and help shape model architecture, research direction, and execution.
• Design, train, and advance foundation models across longitudinal patient data, pathology, genomics, and other biomedical modalities.
• Develop downstream models for prognosis, treatment outcome prediction, patient stratification, biomarker discovery, clinical trials, and partner-specific solutions.
• Contribute original research, publish impactful findings, and engage with the broader AI research community.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align models and products with healthcare quality, validation, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in computer science or a related quantitative field.
• At least 3 years of industry experience developing machine learning models from research and experimentation through validation and production deployment.
• Expertise in large-scale deep learning and foundation model development, including pretraining, representation learning, self-supervised learning, multimodal modeling, model scaling, or post-training.
• Strong record of original, high-impact research demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications in leading AI venues.
• Proficiency in Python and modern deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, with strong product-level coding and software engineering skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with computer vision, NLP, pathology, longitudinal EHR, genomics, or other biomedical modalities.
• Medical or healthcare AI experience, publications in healthcare AI, or prior foundation model development.
