US-Based Healthcare Data Scientist (AI)

What you will do

• Train, fine-tune, and enhance LLM and NLP models using the Python ecosystem.
• Build data science and data engineering pipelines for clinical data, including medical text, medical images, and information from multiple sources.
• Develop machine learning, deep learning, LLM, and time series forecasting pipelines for customer-facing projects.
• Validate models for bias, overfitting, concept drift, reliability, and effectiveness.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly while working directly with customers.

Requirements

• Professional experience delivering real-world data science and machine learning projects; academic-only experience or API-based application development is insufficient.
• Hands-on experience with OMOP, FHIR, clinical terminologies, and the patient journey.
• Strong healthcare-related knowledge in areas such as medicine, pharma, bioinformatics, or biostatistics.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for customer-facing work.
• Availability for at least 30–40 hours per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with generative AI and deep learning.
• PhD in a relevant field.
• Experience with Spark NLP or hirify.global medical language models.
