Personal Financial Counselor (Financial Counseling)

Location: OCONUS - Geilenkirchen NATO Air Base, Germany; onsite support at a military installation.

Salary: $58,440–$93,500 annually, plus potential short-term incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Help service members establish spending plans for extended absences and deployment periods.
• Develop financial education materials and deliver classes, workshops, briefings, and seminars.
• Provide counseling through secure online chat, video communication, and other approved virtual channels.
• Coordinate with installation and military branch points of contact and communicate trends and issues to leadership.
• Manage duty-to-warn situations according to Department of Defense protocols and participate in training and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; an associate degree plus four years of experience or a high school diploma plus six years of experience may be considered instead.
• At least three years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizenship and fluent English are required.
• Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest process.
• Must hold an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) certification, along with a valid in-state driver license.

• English and Spanish bilingual proficiency may be required by the contract.
