Cloud (Technology) Engineer for FCI (m/f/d) (KVM)

Location: Remote work is available only within Slovakia; office location in Košice.

Salary: Base salary from €1,270 gross, with the final amount depending on seniority and experience; variable compensation and other financial benefits are also provided.

What you will do

• Design and implement a SUSE-based virtualization platform using KVM for SAP and non-SAP workloads.
• Deploy and integrate LINSTOR storage with KVM, including capacity planning, data protection, and failure-handling guidelines.
• Implement software-defined networking with OpenNebula, including tenant isolation, micro-segmentation, security zones, firewall rules, and routing.
• Standardize infrastructure provisioning and configuration management with Terraform and Ansible, including reusable modules and roles.
• Integrate platform components with existing technologies and automate request, change, and incident workflows.
• Maintain architecture documentation, operational runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and consumer documentation while coordinating priorities with stakeholders and SAP roadmaps.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration, Kubernetes, and virtualization technologies.
• Understanding of data center architectures, networking fundamentals, infrastructure operations, and security best practices.
• Ability to manage complex infrastructure environments, drive improvements, and create clear technical documentation.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Remote work requires residence within Slovakia.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ansible and Terraform.
• Familiarity with Grafana and Prometheus.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and Agile/Scrum experience.
