IT Infrastructure Security Engineer (Cloud Security)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work model with office and remote work.

Salary: €33,000–€49,000 gross per year; total on-target earnings of €36,000–€54,000 including an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Engineer and operate security controls across non-cloud, cloud, and internal network environments.
• Develop hardening baselines for Windows and Linux virtual machine fleets.
• Support security controls for Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Automate patching and help achieve SLA coverage for critical CVEs.
• Implement cloud security posture management, policy-as-code, configuration drift remediation, and micro-segmentation across Azure and AWS.
• Maintain control documentation and audit evidence, coordinate walkthroughs, and remediate exceptions and findings.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in infrastructure or security engineering across non-cloud and cloud environments.
• Experience hardening Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, and AWS security controls.
• Scripting fluency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automating security and infrastructure tasks.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Ansible, and knowledge of GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Professional spoken and written English required; Spanish is a plus.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of HashiCorp Vault for secrets management.
• Experience with vulnerability management platforms and Azure or AWS security certifications.
• Exposure to ISO, SOC 2 Type 2, or FedRAMP compliance.
