Accounting Manager (Middle East)

What you will do

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for the Middle East offices.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, intercompany balances, subledger accounts, and balance sheet schedules.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, statutory filings, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Coordinate statutory audits, year-end reporting, audit responses, control reviews, and resolution of audit findings.
• Monitor accounting, tax, and regulatory developments and maintain effective internal financial controls.
• Lead regional accounting staff, support finance system initiatives, and partner with regional and global Finance teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, ACA, CA, or an equivalent internationally recognized credential.
• At least seven years of progressive accounting, audit, and finance experience, including complex accounting and reporting responsibilities.
• Professional services experience is required; experience in a global law firm, consulting firm, accounting firm, or partnership-based organization is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting multinational organizations with international operations and multiple legal entities.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, audits, statutory accounting, financial close processes, and international accounting standards.

Nice to have

• Big Four accounting firm audit or advisory experience.
• Knowledge of UAE and other Middle East accounting, tax, and compliance requirements.
• Working knowledge of Aderant or another professional services financial management system.
