External Communications Manager, EMEA (Healthcare)

Salary: £62,820–£86,380 per year, depending on experience and location

What you will do

• Develop and execute external communications strategies supporting business priorities across EMEA.
• Lead proactive media engagement across international, regional, national, and healthcare trade media.
• Develop thought leadership, executive visibility, and corporate storytelling programmes.
• Partner with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Public Affairs on disease awareness campaigns, scientific milestones, congresses, and corporate initiatives.
• Support key EMEA markets with media engagement, reputation building, and external communications.
• Manage agencies and external stakeholders, monitor the external environment, and measure communications performance and media impact.

Requirements

• Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in external, public, or corporate communications, ideally in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, or another regulated industry.
• Experience developing regional or international communications strategies and managing international media relations.
• Experience supporting scientific congresses, disease awareness initiatives, corporate milestones, and communications agencies.
• Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to translate complex scientific topics into engaging communications.
• Fluent English is required. French, Italian, or German would be advantageous.
