Senior Full-Stack Engineer / Tech Lead (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid work from the Vilnius office or home, Lithuania

Salary: Starting from €6,000 gross per month, depending on experience

Fintech company providing personalized financial services for B2B, B2C, and C2B customers through an electronic money institution based in Lithuania.

What you will do

• Own the technical direction, architecture, and production readiness of a core product area such as customer onboarding, Internet Bank, or mobile.
• Design and build production software across backend, frontend, and mobile applications.
• Make architecture decisions covering service boundaries, APIs, contracts, data flows, and asynchronous systems.
• Set standards for code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and engineering practices.
• Identify technical risks and balance delivery speed, maintainability, reliability, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Work with Product, Engineering, Platform/DevOps, Compliance, Risk, Security, and external partners; participate in incidents and drive production improvements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building and running production web systems, including experience as a Tech Lead, Lead Engineer, or senior technical owner.
• Strong hands-on expertise with PHP/Laravel and React/TypeScript, plus genuine full-stack experience.
• Experience designing APIs, distributed systems, service boundaries, and asynchronous architectures.
• End-to-end ownership from architecture and implementation through testing, deployment, observability, and production support.
• Working knowledge of a second backend language, specifically Go, and strong understanding of testing, CI/CD, security, observability, and reliability.
• Business-level English communication and the ability to explain technical decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• React Native and Expo experience, including shipping mobile applications through app stores.
• Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or another regulated environment.
