Supplier Engineer

Location: Singapore, Singapore; frequent travel to Thailand, approximately 20% of the time.

What you will do

• Work with New Product Development teams to clarify engineering drawing requirements and communicate expectations to suppliers.
• Support New Product Introduction activities, including supplier participation in specification reviews and design for manufacturability.
• Contribute to supplier selection and develop a supply base focused on quality, cost, delivery, and technology.
• Conduct technical supplier audits, evaluate capabilities, and drive continuous improvement.
• Resolve quality problems and manage incidents through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Evaluate technical requirements, recommend materials and qualified sources, monitor cost drivers, and identify new supplier technologies.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in the relevant engineering discipline, with basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices, supplier markets, competition, and factors that differentiate solutions.
• Ability to solve complex problems using information from multiple sources and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus across teams.
• Availability for travel to Thailand, approximately 20% of the time.
