Assistant Facility Security Offer

Location: On-site in New Hudson, Michigan, United States. Full-time schedule is generally 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with additional hours as required. U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government classified security clearance are required.

Salary: $64,500–$103,500 per year

What you will do

• Support the Facility Security Officer with day-to-day administration of the industrial security program.
• Process and track personnel security clearances, security status, briefings, debriefings, training, and required documentation.
• Maintain security records, databases, spreadsheets, logs, and personnel security systems.
• Support facility access control, visitor management, personnel accountability, emergency procedures, and security reception.
• Help protect classified and controlled information and support OPSEC and security awareness initiatives.
• Assist with security incidents, investigations, inspections, audits, assessments, and regulatory updates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or undergraduate degree in security, criminal justice, criminology, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in industrial, personnel, physical, military, or law-enforcement security is preferred.
• Experience in a cleared defense or government contracting environment and knowledge of NISP and Department of Defense security requirements are desirable.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, confidentiality, judgment, and recordkeeping skills are required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to interpret and follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are required.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government classified security clearance are required.
