Senior Data Analyst (Power BI)

Location: Remote; active Secret clearance required

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, modernization, and optimization of enterprise analytics and business intelligence solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Design governed semantic models, certified datasets, reusable analytical components, and complex DAX measures.
• Build and optimize executive, operational, compliance, and mission-focused dashboards.
• Assess and rationalize dashboard and reporting portfolios, identifying redundancy, technical debt, performance issues, and consolidation or retirement opportunities.
• Implement security, data quality, accessibility, performance, and governance standards, including row-level and object-level security.
• Develop predictive models, forecasting tools, analytical frameworks, documentation, and self-service analytics capabilities while mentoring other analysts.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance.
• Significant experience developing enterprise business intelligence, analytics, and reporting solutions.
• Strong hands-on Power BI experience, advanced DAX proficiency, and strong Power Query and data transformation experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or comparable enterprise analytics platforms, semantic models, reusable datasets, and enterprise dashboards.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, metadata, security, access control, dashboard performance optimization, and analytics modernization or migration.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
• Experience with Fabric semantic models, deployment pipelines, workspaces, licensing, capacity, and enterprise governance.
• Experience with governed self-service analytics, Copilot-assisted or AI-enabled business intelligence, predictive modeling, forecasting, or advanced analytical frameworks.
• Experience with statistical analysis, Python, R, federal, Department of Defense, or education-related analytics environments.
• Familiarity with data lineage, metadata management, data cataloging, and enterprise governance frameworks.
