Global Trade Compliance Senior Manager

What you will do

• Lead key elements of the global trade compliance program across sanctions, export controls, restricted-party screening, clinical customs valuation, and related international trade matters.
• Own the enterprise framework for screening counterparties, transactions, and ownership structures under OFAC, BIS, and other global regulations.
• Act as the escalation point for high-risk screening alerts and complex ownership determinations; lead enhanced due diligence and prepare risk assessments and recommended actions.
• Lead the global clinical trial customs valuation program, including valuation methodologies and the annual true-up process.
• Support acquisitions, product launches, supply chain changes, and other strategic enterprise initiatives.
• Improve compliance efficiency and risk detection through automation, artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and digital technologies.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of relevant experience, master's degree and 4 years, bachelor's degree and 6 years, or associate's degree and 10 years in compliance, screening operations, risk management, regulatory affairs, audit, law, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of BIS and OFAC sanctions regulations, the 50 Percent Rule, and global restricted-party screening requirements.
• Experience conducting ownership due diligence and ultimate beneficial ownership investigations involving complex direct and indirect structures.
• Experience managing investigations, incident management, remediation plans, and compliance data analysis.
• Strong writing, negotiation, presentation, project management, organizational, and strategic decision-making skills.
• Ability to build relationships across departments and geographies and operate effectively in a global matrix.

Nice to have

• Trade compliance subject matter expertise in a multinational company.
• Healthcare or life sciences experience.
• Experience with Dow Jones, Descartes, MK Denial, Sayari, Kharon, SAP GTS, Oracle GTM, or comparable platforms.
• Experience applying artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to compliance monitoring and risk assessment.
