Senior Frontend Engineer (AI)

Location: Aachen, Germany; hybrid model with in-person work three times a week. Candidates must be located in Germany.

What you will do

• Design and build scalable frontend applications with Vue.js and Nuxt.js.
• Define and implement RESTful API integrations with product and backend teams.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code and lead code reviews.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize the frontend stack.
• Contribute to frontend architecture, tooling, conventions, and critical releases.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and promote continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Several years of frontend development experience with Vue.js and Nuxt.js.
• Strong JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS/SASS skills.
• Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, RESTful APIs, authentication, and asynchronous data handling.
• Experience with Git workflows, CI/CD, agile methodologies, and Webpack or Vite.
• Testing experience with Jest, Cypress, or similar tools, plus a strong UI/UX sensibility.
• Fluent English and current residence in Germany are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Composition API.
• Knowledge of backend integration with Node.js.
