Junior Frontend Engineer (Vue)

Location: Reston, Virginia, US; local candidates must work in the office at least four days a week

Salary: $70,000–$90,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain software that improves warehouse, distribution, and logistics performance.
• Develop responsive, end-user-facing web applications for web browsers on web, TV, and mobile devices.
• Build frontend applications with Vue, Nuxt, TailwindCSS, and TypeScript.
• Deploy, manage, and maintain distributed and scalable software in cloud-based environments.
• Collaborate in an agile startup environment using Linear for task tracking and prioritization and Cursor for development and code sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or two years of professional Software Engineer experience focused on frontend development.
• Hands-on experience deploying single-page applications built with Vue or Nuxt.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTTP requests, API libraries, and user session management.
• Practical knowledge of software testing methodologies and automated frontend testing with Vitest.
• Must be a local candidate able to work from the Reston office at least four days per week.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience containerizing applications with Docker.
• Experience deploying applications to Kubernetes environments.
