Lead Software Developer (Node.js/Vue.js)

Location: Remote from within the United States; listed locations include Denver, Colorado; Dallas, Texas; and Ashburn, Virginia.

Salary: $105,800–$155,200 per year, depending on location and qualifications.

What you will do

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Node.js and Vue.js.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and backend microservices for enterprise integrations.
• Develop responsive frontend interfaces and integrate relational and NoSQL data stores.
• Lead automated testing with Playwright and modern unit-testing frameworks.
• Troubleshoot performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and complex system defects.
• Lead code reviews, mentor developers, and support CI/CD, deployment, and production operations.

Requirements

• Must work remotely from within the United States.
• 10+ years of professional experience with a bachelor's degree, or 5+ years with a master's degree, or equivalent education and experience.
• Expertise in Node.js, Vue.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, asynchronous programming, RESTful services, and modern web architecture.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, automated testing, Playwright, Git, and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience using AI coding assistants while maintaining code quality and security standards.
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and serverless architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
• Familiarity with Java, MongoDB, NoSQL environments, OAuth/JWT, and enterprise access governance.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and eligibility for GSA suitability clearance.
