TL;DR
Professional Services - Technical Architect (DevOps/GitLab): Designing and delivering GitLab architectures, infrastructure deployments, and source code management and CI/CD migrations for enterprise customers with an accent on cloud and on-premises environments, automation, scalability, and security. Focus on leading technical delivery from discovery through handoff, executing Congregate migrations, coordinating consultants and customer stakeholders, and creating reusable delivery and enablement materials.
Location: Remote, United Kingdom; up to 50% travel at times

What you will do
- Lead the technical delivery lifecycle for Professional Services engagements, from scoping and discovery through implementation and handoff.
- Design and deliver reference architectures for self-managed and cloud environments using infrastructure as code.
- Deploy and configure with Terraform, Ansible, and the Environment Toolkit across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Lead source code management and CI/CD migrations to , including enterprise migrations using Congregate.
- Provide DevOps and DevSecOps consulting, evaluate scalability and security trade-offs, and advise on delivery frameworks and best practices.
- Coordinate customers, partners, and internal contributors while creating documentation, delivery kits, training materials, and reusable automation assets.
Requirements
- Must be based remotely in the United Kingdom.
- Experience delivering at least two consulting services, such as source code management migration, cloud architecture, DevOps engineering, or CI/CD consulting.
- Experience designing and implementing reliable, scalable DevOps platforms with clear performance and security trade-offs.
- Hands-on experience with cloud and on-premises infrastructure, Terraform, Ansible, and maintainable automation or integration code.
- Experience performing migrations to using Congregate or similar migration tooling, with knowledge of data consistency and integrity concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another advanced technical degree, or equivalent experience; strong customer-facing communication and organizational skills.
