What you will do
- Set the direction, delivery model, and success measures for a complex programme portfolio.
- Translate strategic objectives into integrated plans covering scope, milestones, resources, dependencies, and benefits.
- Lead governance forums and provide evidence-based reporting and recommendations to senior decision-makers.
- Control budgets, forecasts, investment decisions, risks, issues, dependencies, and change impacts.
- Coordinate operational, corporate, digital, technology, supplier, and delivery-partner workstreams.
- Track benefits, resolve cross-programme conflicts, and strengthen delivery capability through consistent methods, coaching, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Substantial experience leading complex, multi-workstream programmes in a large or highly structured organisation.
- Strong experience converting strategic goals into operational, commercial, technology, or infrastructure outcomes.
- Expertise in programme governance, integrated planning, assurance, reporting, and executive decision support.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts, resources, benefits, procurement, suppliers, and external partners.
- Advanced capability in risk, issue, dependency, and delivery-constraint management, with experience leading matrixed teams.
- Understanding of regulated, asset-intensive, or essential-service environments, including operational resilience and service continuity.
Nice to have
- MSP, PRINCE2, Agile, APM, or an equivalent programme or project management qualification.
