Medical Writer (Medical Communications)

Location: Remote from the Greater Toronto/Ontario area, Canada

What you will do

• Write abstracts, scientific posters, manuscripts, slide decks, medical affairs deliverables, and other medical communications materials.
• Ensure content meets standards for grammar, scientific accuracy, client objectives, and industry compliance.
• Research therapeutic areas, disease states, competitors, new products, and indications.
• Incorporate internal and external review feedback while maintaining consistency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with clients, external thought leaders, editorial teams, and client services teams.
• Track project time, budgets, deadlines, specifications, and financial forecast impacts.

Requirements

• Must be able to work remotely from the Greater Toronto/Ontario area without visa sponsorship.
• Experience writing for a medical communications company is required.
• At least 1 year of experience writing for pharmaceutical clients in an agency setting.
• A life sciences degree; a science master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and its processes, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, multitasking, independent working, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe.
