Electrical Engineering Intern (Automotive)

Location: hirify.global, Wisconsin, United States. The internship requires willingness to travel or relocate to hirify.global, Wisconsin, for the summer.

Pay: $18.00–$37.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support the design, development, integration, and testing of vehicle electrical and embedded control systems.
• Assist with electrical architecture, component selection, circuit analysis, schematics, and engineering calculations.
• Develop wire harness designs and electrical documentation using 3D modeling and schematic tools.
• Support prototype, pilot, and production vehicle builds, including troubleshooting and technical assistance on the assembly floor.
• Participate in testing and validation activities and document findings, design decisions, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers, manufacturing teams, and other engineering disciplines to solve technical challenges.

Requirements

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Interest in vehicle electrical systems, embedded systems, controls, or electrical product development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to learn new engineering tools, technologies, and processes.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to hirify.global, Wisconsin, for the duration of the summer internship.

Nice to have

• Experience or coursework in vehicle electrical systems, embedded systems, controls, circuit design, wire harnesses, or electrical schematics.
• Experience with CATIA, CREO, E3 Series, CREO Schematics, CAD, or 3D modeling.
• Knowledge of CAN or other vehicle communication networks, electronics, sensors, or ECUs.
• Hands-on electrical troubleshooting, testing, lab work, manufacturing, prototype environments, engineering clubs, design teams, or research.
