Automotive Technician

Location: 000299 Randall II. Onsite automotive service work is required. Employment requires completion of Form I-9, and temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify applicants.

Pay range: $17.50–$26.30 per hour, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus available.

What you will do

• Change oil and perform scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance and install parts.
• Road-test vehicles and assist with repair procedures.
• Explain repair procedures and answer customer questions.

Requirements

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic knowledge of oil changes, vehicle inspections, and tire repair.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Obtain or maintain at least one A.S.E. A1–A8 certification within the first two years of employment.
• Must complete Form I-9 employment eligibility verification; temporary work authorization or sponsorship needs may disqualify applicants.

Nice to have

• Two years of automotive repair experience.
• Completion of a related vocational-technical program.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent training credentials.
