TL;DR
Application Development Specialist (Personal Safety): Providing technical support, training, product demonstrations, application testing, and regulatory guidance for personal protective equipment solutions with an accent on worker protection, compliance, and suitability for use environments. Focus on evaluating PPE applications, communicating technical standards, supporting customer and industry interactions, and collaborating with sales, marketing, quality, manufacturing, and regulatory teams.
Location: On-site in Sumare, São Paulo, Brazil, with at least four days per week at the main office; frequent business travel of approximately 60–70% is required.

What you will do
- Provide technical support to customers, distributors, and sales teams on PPE application, performance, limitations, and proper use.
- Deliver technical and educational training focused on worker protection, compliance, and safety awareness.
- Conduct product demonstrations, field evaluations, application testing, validations, and troubleshooting.
- Interpret and communicate technical standards, certifications, legal requirements, and regulatory developments.
- Support technical discussions with committees, associations, working groups, and industry forums.
- Collaborate with marketing, quality, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, and sales on technical recommendations, launches, portfolio adaptations, and customer insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Three to five years of experience in technical support, product application, occupational safety, PPE, regulatory environments, or related areas.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of PPE, its applications, and technical requirements.
- Familiarity with occupational safety standards, certifications, legal requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience working with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Advanced English required.
Nice to have
- Experience with technical training, field support, product demonstrations, or end-user education.
- Exposure to safety culture, risk prevention, worker protection, product certification, and technical compliance.
- Participation in technical associations, standards committees, or industry discussions.
- Spanish may be useful depending on business needs.
