Director, Product Security (Fintech)

Location: Structured hybrid role with at least three days per week in the office; approved locations are Los Angeles, CA (West LA), San Francisco, CA (SoMa), San Diego, CA, Birmingham, AL (Downtown), or Tampa, FL (Westshore District).

What you will do

• Own the product and application security strategy, roadmap, priorities, and continuous improvement program.
• Partner with DevOps, Engineering, and Product to build scalable, automated security processes within CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead the product security team in defining security specifications for new and existing products, systems, and applications.
• Set technical guidelines for security architecture and identify risks across product engineering groups.
• Deep-dive into security findings, prioritize issues, and guide engineering teams through remediation.
• Evaluate security technologies, tools, vendors, integration requirements, and implementation costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 8+ years of information security experience, including 2+ years in product or application security.
• Leadership experience, with 3+ years preferred, and a track record of transforming engineering security practices.
• Experience influencing cross-functional teams and internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with SAST and DAST tools, CI/CD best practices, and web and mobile application security defects.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship and must meet the approved location requirement.
