Creative Director, Design (AI)

Location: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, OR, or Austin, TX. Onsite work is required five days per week for 2–3 months at a time during specific projects; remote work is available during other periods.

Base compensation: $200,000–$240,000 per year.

What you will do

• Set the creative and visual direction for digital experiences aligned with client brand and business goals.
• Lead integrated concepts and experiences with Copy, Strategy, UX, Production, Design, and executive stakeholders.
• Establish the design quality standard across the account and mentor Designers and Art Directors.
• Build trust with senior clients, present work, challenge requirements when appropriate, and align stakeholders around a clear creative direction.
• Lead or execute design work from early exploration through final digital build, depending on project needs.
• Introduce relevant emerging technologies and help teams use AI and new tools in their creative workflows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in digital design, art direction, or creative direction.
• Strong portfolio of craft-oriented, brand-focused interactive work.
• Ability to lead digital experiences from concept through execution and provide clear creative direction.
• Exceptional visual and conceptual design skills, with an understanding of detailed digital execution.
• Experience developing integrated digital ideas with Copy and other creative disciplines.
• Excellent client presentation, senior stakeholder influence, team mentoring, and creative leadership skills.
