Speech-Language Pathologist (1099 Contract)

Location: Remote within the 50 United States; fully remote, telehealth-based care. An active license or eligibility for licensure in at least one US state is required, with willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.

What you will do

• Conduct virtual evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, motor speech, voice, and dysphagia risks using standardized assessments and functional task analysis.
• Develop measurable, patient-centered treatment plans and provide evidence-based interventions for progressive neurologic conditions.
• Deliver cognitive-communication, motor speech, voice banking, message banking, AAC, and telehealth-appropriate dysphagia support.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and families on communication strategies, cueing techniques, compensatory approaches, and environmental modifications.
• Collaborate with neurologists, care coordinators, behavioral health providers, and senior SLPs on complex cases and interdisciplinary care.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation, progress reports, and AAC funding packets in the EMR.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Active license or eligibility for licensure in at least one US state; willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
• 3–5+ years of clinical experience as a licensed SLP, including 1–2 years working directly with adults with neurodegenerative conditions.
• Proficiency with EMR systems, basic AAC technology, and remote or telepractice software.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Active LSVT LOUD or SPEAK OUT! certification, or willingness to complete training within 90 days.
• Experience with multi-state telepractice delivery and virtual service workflows.
• Experience with AAC evaluations, device trials, and funding documentation.
• Experience in specialized outpatient clinics, memory care, or multidisciplinary neurology clinics.
