Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; on-site at the Union Square office

Salary: $237,150–$320,850 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Work directly with enterprise customers to understand their systems, workflows, constraints, and technical requirements.
• Own engineering delivery from discovery and solution design through implementation, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Build integrations between Legora and customer systems while contributing changes to the core product.
• Resolve ambiguity, explain technical tradeoffs, align stakeholders, and manage scope and timelines.
• Manage multiple engagements independently, identify dependencies, and communicate risks early.
• Bring customer insights into product decisions and develop reusable tooling and engineering practices.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of software engineering experience with recent hands-on ownership of production software.
• Strong fundamentals in designing, building, testing, and shipping reliable software.
• Ability to lead technical conversations with engineers and nontechnical customer stakeholders.
• Experience turning ambiguous, cross-functional problems into delivered solutions.
• Strong product judgment, prioritization skills, and ownership of technical outcomes.
• Adaptability across technologies and environments.

Nice to have

• Experience building B2B enterprise software in a fast-moving environment.
• Forward deployed or embedded engineering experience involving hands-on production development.
• Experience working across engineering and product to define what to build.
• Familiarity with enterprise integrations, APIs, authentication, and cross-system data flows.
• TypeScript experience.
